Dyspeptic euphoric confusion.

Another night of not much sleep, probably, as I have mentioned, because of the steroids. Also feeling pretty low. The following is a list of some of the common side effects that I think I’m currently experiencing:

  • Insomnia
  • Increased appetite
  • Weight gain
  • Depression
  • Euphoria
  • Dyspepsia
  • Confusion
  • Amnesia
  • Irritability
  • Nausea
  • Malaise

And feeling some of these at the same time is really weird such as euphorically depressed, but I’ll go mainly with malaise; a general feeling that something’s not right which probably includes cancer. Such beautiful English understatement. Somehow just writing this lifts my mood.

My external cancer is also affecting me, it needs some sort of treatment but not sure what yet.

Not happy with the irritability, causes me to be short and impatient with Kate and this is bad.

At last some discourse with Simon, Mark and myself writing about good old politics and Mark and Simon even introduce good old religion. And Jo-not star TA giving a link about quantum physicist Robert Lanza and his theory of biocentrism and my cancer experience is but one of an infinite number of possible universes and that death is “merely an illusion formed by our idea of consciousness”. This on top of my steroidal confusion!
Rant of the Day.
In all of the coverage about Pistorius there has been very little about the fact that it is yet another example of male on female violence. Since the beginning of the year Karen Ingala Smith has been counting dead women killed through suspected male violence in this country, so far it is one every 2.36 days. If fucking donkeys, and I have no particular axe to grind with these beasts, were dying at this rate through abuse we’d have it all over the likes of The Mail and The Sun.
By the way Co-Op Swanage it’s me who takes your copies of the Sun and puts them underneath the rack and I’m boycotting Swanage News while it has that disgustingly large Sun logo over it.
I pick on the Sun because I bet there’s a strong correlation between it’s portrayal and attitude towards women and the reinforcement of male behaviour towards all females.
As George Carlin ranted we’re not so far removed from savagery, there’s but a thin veneer of civilization. Another reason not to tolerate the grinning gargoyle, who would he and his ilk go for after stopping immigrants? Did you know the Ucrappers claimed that any money raised from Mike Reid’s calypso garbage would go to The Red Cross “ebola outreach programme”, no such thing exists any money raised was always going to their party funds.
Shame the often fun loving word party is associated with such obnoxious types.
Well I feel better now than when I began this piece, despite, or maybe because of, the dyspeptic rage.
And Steve still no comment on the Bristol City?
Keep on keeping on my friends, love Duncan.

  1. Don’t know whether it is reassuring for women, but men are a greater danger to men than to women. Obviously in many countries the treatment of women is appalling, although in this country these are apparently the stats:
Approximate Female Deaths per annum (UK): “………..
    Breast Cancer 11,600
    Car accidents 600
    Accidental poisoning: 400
    Accidental Choking on food: 100
Killed by male partner or acquaintance: 100
I do not want to minimise the dreadfulness of any murder, but murder of women is relatively rare and the vast majority of women have no more reason to have fear of it than they do of their own sandwiches.
However, I don’t recommend living with Oscar P , whatever your gender.
    Keep on,
    Love,
    Hector

  2. Sorry you’ve been feeling rough and apologies for sounding like I was making light of your comments about the treatment of women by men. From the ‘calm down dear’ put downs, to awful abuse, our gender has a lot to answer for. Hopefully, we can Teach our lads well and set a respectful example.
I loved watching you secreting the grubby Sun out of harms way in the C**P.
    Guerrillas in our midst.
    Respect to you old chum.
    Love,
    Silly old git x
